    INTRODUCTION

    With manufacturers producing ever more powerful diesels, its all too easy to give in to temptation and change your car for a newer more powerful model. But now you can now avoid this considerable expense by fitting a Turbotune DT digital tuning module.

    With quick and simple DIY plug-in fitting using oem connectors, this is easily accomplished & equally easily reversed for servicing or warranty work and will elevate the performance to new heights or your money back. For example, a Ford 2 litre Mondeo 130,bhp or Jaguar X-Type diesel will outperform the factory 2.2litre ones, and even 1.4L diesels feel like at least a 1.6litre.

    The Turbotune CR is also excellent for vans, motorhomes & tow cars with less gear changing, easier hill climbing and effortless motorway cruising.

    Economy is improved too, in most cases, thanks to less gear changing and less need to rev the engine, and the improved engine efficiency facilitated by the manner of operation of the module.

    So overall you have a quieter more relaxing drive and if your gearbox has six speeds, 6th gear becomes instantly more useable with less need to change down when overtaking.

    Many recent diesels have good 'on paper' performance figures and apparently plenty of power and torque. However the driving experience can be a let down due to low rev lethargy, hesitation and sluggish pulling away and often flat spots. All of these irritations can be banished by fitting a Turbotune. Even some main dealers recommend our products to customers shocked by the poor driveability of some new diesels compared to their previous model. (eg old v new Mondeo, Lexus IS220d v BMW 320D)

    DESIGN PHILOSOPHY...

     We ignored existing products and designed ours from scratch to embody everything we, as customers would want.

    So this means:

    i) a wide range of adjustment to suit all driver preferences;

    ii) rugged, hard wired cables with no computer D connectors much beloved by other companies and not suitable for the under bonnet environment;

    iii) an off switch to bypass the module

    iv) simple fitting with no wiring mods or battery connections.

    v) customer support provided by those who designed the product.

    The Turbotune use a low power RISC microcontroller that digitises the sensor signal(s) 10,000 times per second, meaning that this is a  truly digital module.  Current consumption is negligible so no extra battery connections are required.

    The signal is then modified in the digital domain to reprogram the fuel pressure, overriding the engine ecu, to permit increased fuelling and therefore torque. This increase is in relation to driver demand and engine rpm so accurate control is possible more or less anywhere in the rev and load range.

    By incorporating 9 fuel modifying maps in the firmware, we can cleverly provide separate switches that control the torque enhancement at low/mid rprm (below about 2500rpm) and mid/high rpm (above about 2500rpm). Hence you can choose to have just more low down 'pulling power'  - ideal for motorhomes and vans, or more 'top end' for sporty fast road use, or both for the power mad like me!

    The on/off switch allows you to bypass the unit and return the performance to standard. Switch it off for a few days now and again to remind yourself of just how effective the unit is!

    A remote switch is available for attaching to the dash (with velcro so no holes needed) and one setting is programmable to a setting of your choice, whilst the other uses whatever the switches are currently set at. Popular with tow car drivers, one setting can used for every day driving and the other when towing. Or town v country, his v hers (!) or economy v performance. Its your choice.

    Centre switch selects low down torque. (All settings are an increase on standard)

    Lower switch selects high rpm torque (and hence max bhp). All settings are an increase on standard.
